Baking cod is quick, but cook your cod in a cast-iron skillet if possible. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, and don’t forget to grease a baking dish gently. Ingredients
Four servings of cod fillets
1⁄2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 cup of butter that has been softened
Two tablespoons of parmesan cheese finely grated
One spoon of all-purpose flour
Three minced garlic cloves
One teaspoon of dried basil
1/2 teaspoon of powdered onion
One teaspoon of Dijon mustard
The juice of 1 lemon
Add lemon slices

Method
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
In the prepared baking dish, set out the cod fillets. Season the fish with pepper and salt.
Stir the butter, parmesan, flour, garlic, basil, onion powder, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice together in a small cup.
Top a big spoonful of the butter mixture on each fillet.
Bake for approximately 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Actual cooking time may depend on your fish’s thickness. When it flakes easily with a fork, the fish is finished. Serve and enjoy!
